Rachel Barkey is a sister in Christ who, after four and a half years of fighting breast cancer, was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She is a 37 year old wife and mother of two. Rachel says “Cancer does not define me. Neither does being a wife or a mother. All these things are part of who I am but they do not define me. What defines me is my relationship with Jesus.” In March of 2009 she gave a talk to women at her church in Vancouver, sharing about her hope in the midst of terminal cancer. I, along with many others, was blessed after hearing her testimony, and I wanted to share this with those of you who had not heard this yet.
